THE BRIDGE CENTER ANNOUNCES SPECIAL NEEDS SUMMER PROGRAM
New Therapeutic Program Offers Much Needed Services to Local Families
The Bridge Center of Reno, Nevada is proud to announce a new Life Skills Enrichment After School Program (L.E.A.P.) specifically designed for adolescents and young adults, ages 13-22, with Special NeedsThe new program will provide summer programming beginning June 15, 2009. The Bridge Center’s home office, located at 1201 Corporate Boulevard, Suite 100, will be the venue for this therapeutic after school program running through July 24th. Programming runs from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. with extended hours available, upon request, until 6 P.M. Registration begins now and ends June 8th.
L.E.A.P. provides therapeutic programs for these exceptional individuals including Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Horticulture Therapy, Arts & Crafts, Pet Therapy and much more. L.E.A.P. offers the opportunity for these children to be included in a wide variety of activities without limitations or barriers.
The summer program will encourage clients to participate in therapeutic and recreational activities that aid in improving social skills, communication, practicing positive Activities of Daily Living Skills and enriching the lives of our clients. New to the program, includes the ability to provide personal care, including changing, applying sunscreen, and medication administration. Qualified staff on site includes, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and Drug and Alcohol Counselors.

The Bridge Center is an organization dedicated to providing the community with programs addressing unmet and/or necessary needs such as behavioral health, family systems therapy, truancy prevention services, and educational services.
